WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SINGLE ON Valentine’s Day
In the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day you were fine with being single, right? Then it happens. You’re flipping through a magazine or maybe passing a store’s window display full of “the perfect gifts” that say, "I love you." At first you roll your eyes and keep it moving, right?
However after passing five more store fronts, or seeing all kinds of adds in the paper celebrating the holiday of love, you begin to feel like you’ve been left out of the party. Do you have someone special to spend your Valentine's Day with?
Well I'm single and have been thinking about what are the pluses about being single on V-day.
1. I can go hang out with other single friends (dinner, drinks or whatever) not spending more money then it would cost to treat myself and stay out all night without feeling guilty.
2. I can shop for myself. You know the day of flowers and a box of candy is gone, and V-day shopping can be exspensive. So I have thought of a few DVD's and CD's that I don't have, or HELL I can get myself another Ipod or digital camera.
3. Since I don't have anyone special, I've thought of at least three people I can send a V-day card to, and it will be a total surprise to them, you know "makes me look like the better man, and I thougth about you on this special day".
4. My back up plan. If I don't go out, its always cheaper to at least know how to log on to the Internet. Instead of spending money on gifts and a night out, on February 14, I can PLAY that "Computer Love" thang! LOL, it's SAFE!!!!
5. I remember that "SHIT , I'M HAPPY BEING SINGLE FOR NOW, and I can live with that.
What are your thoughts?
